Prayer and Scripture

Cenacle Prayer:

A group of committed Catholics who gather as Mary and the Apostles did in the Upper Room (Cenacle) to pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit. This group, under the mantle of Mary, meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Chapel to pray for priests, for the Church in general, for our parish that we will be guided by the Holy Spirit. All are invited.

Prayer Chain:

A group of parishioners who are available to pray for any intentions called in to them. Prayer needs for thanksgiving or petitions are welcome. The intentions are passed by our prayer phone chain from one member to the next. Please utilize this group, for Christ said, " Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am in their midst." 

Rosary Group: 

This group meets daily after the 8:30 Mass in the Chapel and on Sunday after the 8:00a.m. Mass in the Church to pray the Rosary. All are welcome.

Scripture Classes:

We have several Scripture Study classes available for varying interests and times.

 Monday Bible Study

(10:00a.m. to 11:30a.m.)

The focus this year will be on the study of the truths of our faith as stated in the Nicene Creed.

Tuesday Bible Study

(6:30p.m. To 8:30p.m.)

The focus for this class will be on the same material as the Monday class (above).

Tuesday Morning Scripture Study

(10:00a.m. – 11:30a.m.)

This class focuses on the  Sunday readings for the upcoming week end.

Bible Study “101” - Wednesday

(6:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.)

 “Bible Study 101” is to help people explore and to be involved with the teachings as found in the Bible. We will explore the methods of how to read and study Scripture. We will share the various ways to put these teachings into practice. We will also examine the various styles of books that are found in Scripture in order to have a better understanding of the message the author is placing before us.
