ADULT ENRICHMENT

The focus of this committee is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth to all adult parishioners. Surveys are periodically offered to obtain direction in planning the yearly agendas. Please call the Chairperson if you have any suggestions for enhancing the program or if you would like to participate in planning adult education.

COFFEE AND DOUGHNUT COMMITTEE

Our group is an arm of the Social Committee. We provide coffee, juice, tea and doughnuts after the 8:00 and 9:45 a.m. Masses on Sunday. We welcome all who would like to assist us.

FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE

This committee has the responsibility of ensuring that the facilities at Holy Trinity are safe and comfortable for Parish activities. Committee members are involved with necessary repairs, developing budgets and facilities plans necessary to accomplish these tasks. Members of this committee are elected at large through the general parish election.

GUILD

The Guild is a group of women who meet to provide friendship and to promote spiritual and social activities among the women of the parish. We serve the Church by doing fellowship luncheons after funerals, wedding and anniversary celebrations and also provide birthday cakes for patients in the Naval hospital. We put on a Christmas bazaar, plant sale and Crab Louie luncheon as  fund raisers. The Guild maintains the Church kitchen and oversees activities when the kitchen is being used. While being volunteer disciples of the Church, the women of the Guild work hard and have an enjoyable time being with wonderful people. Come join us. Our meetings are the first Thursday of each month, September through June at 10:00 a.m. in Room 10 of the Religious Education Wing. Welcome to all!

 HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE

The extending of hospitality and a gracious welcome to the newcomers of our community is especially important. Our Hospitality Committee provides an essential function in our parish, for their ministry is one which tangibly conveys the parish's delight in welcoming its newest members. In the name of the community, the Hospitality Committee has a table in the vestibule where they provide newcomers with information about our parish services, programs, and ministries and communicate the parish belief that our newcomers presence is important to us.

The committee members telephone all newly registered parishioners. In addition, they assist in whatever way possible to help newcomers make a smooth transition into our parish. There is a meeting of the Hospitality Committee on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the Library.

 KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The Knights of Columbus originated as a fraternal benefit society of Catholic men. In line with their general purpose to be of service to the Church, the Knights are active in many charitable and benevolent causes, community services and church activities.

LEGION OF MARY

This is a world-wide organization of Catholic men and women who offer their services to their pastor to aid him in performing spiritual works in the parish. This is done by placing themselves under the banner of Mary so that with her help they may develop greater holiness in their lives as well as spreading a deeper devotion to her among others. Membership consists of active and auxiliary (praying) members. Active membership is open to all Catholic men and women over eighteen years of age.

MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER

This is an integral part of the spiritual growth program offered by Holy Trinity. The Marriage Encounter experience is a unique, positive, simple, common sense experience between husband and wife. All married couples are encouraged to participate.

RCIA
(RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION)

The Catholic Church warmly welcomes new members. RCIA is the way in which people are initiated into the Christian community and way of life and specifically into the Roman Catholic faith tradition. The RCIA process of conversion, of coming to faith, of learning by experiencing and sharing together with others in the community of faith. Adult participants are invited to reflect on the experience of their lives, on the Word of God in Sacred Scripture, on the teachings of the Catholic Church, and to share in the community's life of public and private prayer. Through the catechumenate, the Church encourages an ongoing conversion to Jesus Christ and the Good News of the Gospel and growth in one's relationship with God. Already baptized Catholics seeking to learn more about the faith are also invited to participate.
